Terms and Conditions
The following General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply exclusively to all contracts, deliveries of our goods, and other services provided by us.
1 · Scope
The following General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply exclusively to all contracts, deliveries of our goods, and other services provided by us. These terms also apply to subsequent transactions, even if they are not expressly agreed upon again or sent to the buyer. In addition, the manufacturers’ license terms enclosed with the contracted products shall also apply.
All product names and logos are registered trademarks of their respective manufacturers. Product images are for illustrative purposes only and may differ from the actual products delivered.
Amendments to these Terms and Conditions, supplementary agreements, and collateral agreements must, as a general rule, be in writing and confirmed by us to be effective. Should any individual provisions be or become invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.
2 · Offer
Our offers and specifications regarding the products we sell are subject to change and are not binding. In light of the ongoing technical development and improvement of the products we sell, we reserve the right to make changes to the prices, specifications, dimensions, and weights we provide at any time. This also applies to changes made to ensure continued availability for delivery.
We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in product information and prices.
3 · Prices
The prices in effect at the time the goods are ordered apply to the delivery.
Prices are quoted in Swiss francs (CHF) and include the applicable value-added tax (VAT); they are ex-warehouse and do not include shipping costs. Shipping costs will be added separately to the invoice total. VAT is properly itemized on the invoice.
There are no surcharges for packaging or for small quantities.
4 · Orders and Contract Formation
Orders can only be placed through the online store and are subject to the prices, shipping terms, and payment terms specified therein.
A sales contract is not concluded until we issue a written order confirmation (an email is sufficient) or the buyer accepts the goods (and after the cancellation/return period has expired). If the order confirmation differs from the order, the buyer must object in writing immediately, but no later than one week after the order confirmation is sent. Otherwise, the sales contract is legally binding under the terms specified in the order confirmation.
5 · Right of Withdrawal/Withdrawal Policy
You may cancel your contract within one month without providing a reason, either in writing (e.g., letter, fax, email) or by returning the item. The cancellation period begins no earlier than upon receipt of this notice. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient to send the notice of withdrawal or return the item in a timely manner. The notice of withdrawal should be sent to:

Consequences of Cancellation: In the event of a valid cancellation, the performance received by both parties must be returned. If you are unable to return the performance received to us, in whole or in part, or can only return it in a deteriorated condition, you may be required to compensate us for the loss in value to that extent. In the case of the transfer of goods, this does not apply if the deterioration of the goods is attributable exclusively to their inspection—as would have been possible, for example, in a retail store. Furthermore, you can avoid the obligation to pay compensation by not using the item as if it were your property and by refraining from any action that could impair its value.
You are responsible for the cost of returning the item, if the delivered goods match those ordered and if the price of the item to be returned does not exceed CHF 50.00, or if, in the case of a higher price, you have not yet provided consideration or made a contractually agreed partial payment at the time of cancellation. Otherwise, the return is free of charge for you.
You must fulfill any obligations to refund payments within 30 days of sending your notice of withdrawal.
6 · Delivery Times and Delivery
The delivery dates for ordered goods are specified in our order confirmation. The delivery date is considered met if the goods are shipped before the deadline expires.
Items that are in stock are usually shipped within one business day. If an item is out of stock at the time of order, we will make every effort to deliver it as quickly as possible. Partial shipments are permitted.
In the event of failure to meet an agreed delivery or performance deadline due to force majeure—including, but not limited to, material shortages, operational disruptions, strikes, statutory or regulatory orders—including those affecting our suppliers—as well as late or incorrect delivery to us, we are entitled to withdraw from the delivery obligation in whole or in part or, at our discretion, to postpone delivery for the duration of the hindrance.
If the agreed delivery deadline is not met for reasons other than those mentioned above, the buyer is entitled to set a reasonable grace period in writing (email is sufficient) with a threat of rejection and, upon its unsuccessful expiration, to withdraw from the purchase contract with respect to the deliveries and services specified therein.
Claims for damages arising from delay, impossibility of performance, or nonperformance—including those that arose prior to the termination of the contract—are excluded for both parties.
7 · Delivery, Shipping, Payment
as well as the transfer of risk and damage during transport within Switzerland.
The shipping costs are as follows
For 1 to 5 items, shipping is CHF 7.50, including VAT.
For orders of 6 or more items, shipping is CHF 12.50, including VAT.
Delivery is available only within Switzerland.
Risk passes to the buyer as soon as we have handed over the shipment to the carrier (postal service, parcel service, or any other mode of transport used). The customer must inspect the goods for completeness and damage immediately upon receipt. If no complaint is made within 7 days of receiving the delivery, acceptance is deemed to have taken place.
The recipient is also required to inspect the shipment for external damage upon receipt. In the case of visible damage caused during transit, the delivery person must issue an immediate confirmation. In the event of hidden damage to the delivered goods, the buyer must file a complaint with the carrier (postal service or package delivery service) and request a written confirmation of the damage.
Upon receipt of the defective merchandise along with the aforementioned documents, we will promptly send the customer a replacement at no cost.
8 · Warranty and Disclaimer
We guarantee that, at the time of transfer of risk, the delivered goods are free from material and manufacturing defects and possess the warranted characteristics.
The warranty period is six months and begins on the date of transfer of risk.
Any warranty terms to the contrary—such as those noted on the product packaging—may be specified by the manufacturer on a country-by-country basis. These warranty terms cannot be invoked and are therefore deemed null and void. semi.ch disclaims all liability for direct or indirect damages, as well as for financial loss resulting from defects or improper handling.
For software products, the customer is responsible for complying with the license terms.
Upon receipt of the purchased item, the customer is obligated to inspect the goods immediately for quality and defects. In the event of obvious defects, these must be reported in writing immediately, no later than 7 days after receipt of the goods (an email is sufficient). The defective items must be kept available for inspection by the seller in the condition they were in at the time the defect was discovered. At the seller’s request, the buyer must send the purchased item to the seller, with a detailed description of the defect and a copy of the invoice, with sufficient postage paid. Failure to comply with the above obligations will void the warranty for these defects.
If a hidden defect in the delivered products for which we are responsible comes to light, we are entitled, at our discretion, to remedy the defect by repair or by replacing the goods free of charge. The buyer must submit the complaint in writing (email is sufficient) and, upon our request, return the item in question to us along with a detailed description of the defect and a copy of the delivery invoice. Multiple repairs are permitted.
If the repair or replacement fails after a reasonable period of time, the buyer may demand a reduction in the purchase price or rescission of the purchase contract. The purchaser shall have no further claims for liability—regardless of the legal basis—arising from damage to the delivery discovered belatedly or from direct or indirect consequential damages resulting from the delivery of defective goods.
We assume no liability for damage or defects resulting from improper use, storage, operation, or faulty or negligent handling. The warranty also does not cover normal wear and tear or normal consumption. Furthermore, any warranty automatically becomes void if the buyer performs modifications, alterations, or repairs on their own, removes serial numbers or labels bearing serial numbers, or breaks warranty seals.
9 · Return Policy
In general, there is no right of return provided that the merchandise is in perfect condition and fully functional.
Returns will only be accepted upon special agreement (via email or letter), provided that the purchased item is returned unused and in perfect, like-new condition. The merchandise is considered unused if it shows no signs of use and is returned in its undamaged and unsealed original packaging (price tags, etc.), complete with all accessories. Please note that by opening the original/sales packaging or sealed plastic wrap, you automatically acknowledge our copyright protection and warranty terms. In the event of significant deterioration—such as soiling, damage, damaged sales packaging, missing or damaged documentation, incomplete returns, etc.—we expressly reserve the right to refuse the return.
We will only accept returns if they have been properly and sufficiently prepaid. Upon receipt of the merchandise, we will promptly refund the purchase price to the buyer, but not the shipping costs, subject to the conditions stated above. We cannot cover costs incurred by using shipping methods other than the postal service.
10 · Retention of Title
We reserve title to the purchased goods until all claims arising from the contractual relationship—including ancillary claims to which we are entitled for any legal reason—have been satisfied in full.
11 · Liability
Claims for damages arising from breach of contract, fault in the formation of the contract, or tort are excluded, unless the damage was caused intentionally or through gross negligence.
Any claim for damages applies exclusively to the delivered item. Liability for consequential damages resulting from defects is excluded.
Claims for damages and warranty claims are not transferable to third parties.
12 · Privacy Policy
semi.ch uses the personal information you provide only within the context of the customer relationship between you and semi.ch. We take the protection of your data very seriously—which is why we, of course, comply with all applicable data protection laws and do everything we can to keep your data confidential. Furthermore, it is important to us that you know at all times what data we store and how we use it.
For example, if you have subscribed to our newsletter, we use your email address to send you the latest information via email. We do not share or sell any personal data (e.g., email address, name, profile, etc.) to other companies or individuals in any form.
To protect your personal data, we also restrict internal access to as few employees as possible.
As a customer, you have the right to cancel at any time.
13 · Governing Law, Place of Performance, and Jurisdiction
Swiss law applies to all legal relationships between the seller and the buyer.
CH – 4126 Bettingen is agreed upon as the place of performance for all obligations owed by both parties under the contract, including any claims for restitution.
The exclusive venue for all disputes arising directly or indirectly from the contractual relationship is Basel.
14 · Final Provisions
Should any provision of the delivery contract or these General Terms and Conditions be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall not be affected. The contracting parties agree to replace an invalid provision with a valid provision that best reflects the economic intent of both parties. The same applies in the event of a gap in the contract.
Any amendments or additions to this contract must be in writing to be effective.
There are no verbal side agreements.
